My painting uses bold color expressively, symbolically to create a surreal space. The life narrative is expressed through contrasts such as: life/death, hot/cold, land/water, light/darkness. My work portrays a unique juxtaposition of telling a contemporary story with traditional figurative forms, or telling a classical story through contemporary technique, creating a unique interpretation of the subject.
